Watch Ian’s Story

In this video, Ian Da Silva shares his journey as a nursing major on a CMGlobal trip to Brazil, where he connects with his heritage and his mission calling. He witnesses God’s work in church leaders and individuals facing challenges. Ian expresses gratitude for donor support and feels affirmed in his dual calling to nursing and missions.

Highlights of Ian’s Story

Ian Da Silva, a Nursing major at PBA, felt called to participate in a CMGlobal mission trip to Brazil both to pursue missions and to reconnect with his heritage. What he experienced on that trip strengthened not only his faith but also his long-term vision for ministry and healthcare.

While serving alongside local churches and ministry partners, Ian witnessed powerful examples of generational faith. One particularly meaningful moment involved a local ministry partner whose father, after years of prayer from his wife, made the decision to give his life to Christ and be baptized. On that same evening, the man’s grandson was baptized as well. For Ian, this was a vivid picture of God’s faithfulness across generations.

Throughout his mission, Ian saw believers remain steadfast despite difficult circumstances. Their trust in God deeply impacted him and reinforced his belief that nursing can be more than a profession — it can be a ministry.

Ian hopes to combine his calling to nursing with his passion for missions, using healthcare as a way to serve communities around the world. He credits the prayers and generosity of donors for making experiences like CMGlobal possible and for affirming his direction in life.
